Annual Accounts
Year-end accounts prepared and filed at Companies House, with full bookkeeping behind them if you'd rather not do it yourself. We work in Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, and we'll take on a backlog if there is one.
Wimbledon & Dhaka — established 2013
Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers for owner-managed businesses across London and the South East. Accounts, VAT, payroll and tax — prepared properly, filed on time, explained in plain English.
Compliance services
One firm for the whole compliance cycle. Fixed fees agreed before we start, so you always know what a piece of work costs.
Year-end accounts prepared and filed at Companies House, with full bookkeeping behind them if you'd rather not do it yourself. We work in Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, and we'll take on a backlog if there is one.
Registration, quarterly returns and payments, flat rate and margin schemes, partial exemption and the construction reverse charge. We also handle assessments, penalties and VAT enquiries.
RTI submissions, payslips, P60s and P11Ds, subcontractor verification and monthly CIS returns, with pension auto-enrolment assessed on every run.
CT600 returns with computations and iXBRL tagging, capital allowances claimed in full, losses relieved to best effect, and profit extraction planned so salary and dividends work together.
Tax returns for directors, landlords, sole traders and partnerships. We check the position before we file, so reliefs and allowances are claimed rather than found later.
MTD changes self assessment from one return a year to quarterly updates plus a final declaration. We'll tell you whether you're caught, when you're caught, get you signed up and run the submissions for you.
Tax advisory
Led personally by Md Shahabuddin as a Chartered Tax Adviser. This is where the value sits — and where getting it wrong costs the most.
Profit extraction structured across salary, dividends and pension, planning around associated companies and marginal rates, and a straight answer on whether your current structure is still the right one as the business grows.
Inheritance tax accounts for deceased estates, nil rate band and transferable nil rate band claims, business and agricultural property relief, and lifetime planning for family businesses and property portfolios.
We take over the correspondence, put any disclosure on a proper footing and negotiate the penalty position. The earlier a specialist is instructed, the better the outcome tends to be.
The person you'll deal with
Md Shahabuddin leads the practice and takes personal responsibility for its tax work. Most firms of this size send anything difficult to a specialist and add a margin. Here the specialist is the person who answers your call.
Regulated practice
A firm regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and an ICAEW authorised training employer.
Chartered Tax Adviser qualified — the senior tax qualification in the UK, and the reason complex tax work stays in-house.
Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, with professional indemnity insurance and anti-money-laundering supervision in place.
Offices
Client work is led from Wimbledon. Our Dhaka office extends the working day, which is how we turn bookkeeping and payroll around quickly without cutting corners on review.

The principal
ACA · FCCA · CTA
Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, with over twenty years in practice. He leads the firm and takes personal responsibility for its tax advisory work.
Profile
Md Shahabuddin has spent over two decades in accountancy and tax, working with owner-managed businesses through the whole of their life cycle — from the first company formation and VAT registration, through growth and restructuring, to succession and estate planning.
He holds three qualifications that rarely sit together in a firm of this size: ACA, the chartered accountancy qualification of the ICAEW; FCCA, as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants; and CTA, the Chartered Tax Adviser qualification of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, which is the senior tax qualification in the United Kingdom.
That combination is the reason the firm keeps difficult tax work in-house. Where most practices of comparable size refer a complex question out to a specialist and pass on the cost, Shahabuddin & Co handles it directly — which usually means a faster answer, a lower fee, and advice from someone who already knows the client's business rather than only the file.
He founded the practice in 2013 and has grown it to two offices, in Wimbledon and Dhaka, serving a client base concentrated in hospitality, construction, retail, the motor trade, property and professional services. He is closely involved in the work rather than only in the management of it, and clients deal with him directly.
Areas of specialism
Tax advisory work, and the compliance matters where the tax position is contested rather than routine.
Structuring profit extraction across salary, dividends and pension, planning around associated companies and marginal rates, and reviewing whether the current structure is still the right one as a business grows.
Inheritance tax accounts for deceased estates, nil rate band and transferable nil rate band claims, business and agricultural property relief, and lifetime planning for family businesses.
Taking over correspondence, putting disclosures on a proper footing and negotiating penalty positions. Outcomes are consistently better where a specialist is instructed early rather than after a determination.
Self assessment for directors, landlords and the self-employed, capital gains on property and share disposals, and the interaction between personal and company tax positions.
Assessing which clients are mandated and from when, choosing compatible software, and moving landlords and sole traders from an annual return to quarterly reporting without disruption.
Partial exemption, margin schemes, the construction reverse charge, and representations against assessments and penalties where HMRC's view is open to challenge.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The firm is ICAEW regulated and an authorised training employer.
Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, covering financial reporting and assurance across international standards.
Chartered Tax Adviser, Chartered Institute of Taxation. The senior tax qualification in the UK and the foundation of the firm's advisory work.
Bring him the question before the deadline, not after. The first conversation is free and usually tells you whether there's a problem worth paying to solve.

What to do if any part of our service falls short, and what happens after you tell us.
Last reviewed 10 August 2026
We aim to provide a high standard of service at all times, and to deal with every client fairly and promptly. If something has gone wrong, or you are unhappy with the service or with a fee, we would much rather hear about it than not. Most concerns are resolved quickly once they are raised.
Please raise the matter with Md Shahabuddin, either by email at office@suddintax.com, by telephone on 020 3617 3395, or in writing to 10 Abbey Parade, Wimbledon, London SW19 1DG.
It helps if you set out what happened, when, who was involved, and what you would like us to do about it. You may raise a complaint verbally, but putting it in writing usually makes it easier for both of us to be clear about the issues.
We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within five working days of receiving it, and tell you who is dealing with it.
We will then investigate. This normally means reviewing your file, speaking to the members of staff involved, and where necessary discussing the matter further with you. We will give you a full written response within twenty-eight days. If the matter is complex and we need longer, we will write to tell you why and give you a revised date.
Our response will explain our findings, what we propose to do to put things right where we accept something has gone wrong, and what to do if you remain dissatisfied.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may ask for the matter to be reviewed again by us, or you may take it further.
As a firm regulated by and supervised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, you may refer your complaint to ICAEW under firm reference C003546032. Their complaints service can be reached at icaew.com/complaints, by telephone on 01908 546 293, or by writing to ICAEW, Metropolitan House, 321 Avebury Boulevard, Milton Keynes MK9 2FZ.
Where your complaint concerns a fee, and it cannot be resolved between us, you may also be entitled to apply to the court for an assessment of our charges.
Alternative dispute resolution bodies exist which are competent to deal with complaints about accountancy services, should you and we not be able to resolve your complaint between us. We are not obliged to use an alternative dispute resolution body. If we cannot resolve your complaint between us, you may refer the matter to ICAEW using the details above.
We keep a record of every complaint we receive and how it was resolved. This is reviewed by the principal so that we can identify and correct any recurring problems in how we work.
Tell us early and directly. Email office@suddintax.com or call 020 3617 3395.
